My Background and Career

After completing my studies in Romance philology at the Jagiellonian University, starting in 1979, I was working at the National School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, as a French teacher. I must admit that those years were difficult for learning a foreign language and I had to show a lot of enthusiasm and downright determination to achieve this goal. It is instilling in students the love of the French language and culture. In part, it worked, and preparing a few students each year to participate in the National Olympiad of French. While at school, finishing all possible courses, postgraduate studies, I received a scholarship from the French Government, and on this basis, the students tried to prove that, despite the tight boundaries Europe can be visited.
I also organised a youth exchange between Rzeszów and Secondary PLSP Malherbe Caen (France). As part of the exchange students from our school several times in the years 1989 - 1994, traveled to France and visited their French friends in Poland on organised joint school activities and outdoor painting. At that time, it was a great achievement because in addition to any ministerial permits we had to procure a passport and visa for students not to mention the issue of sponsorship.
At the same time, I started to work as a translator of French and at some point I realised that in the long run I could not do both because then none of my duties will be performed at 100%.
The decision to opt out of a full-time teacher appointed was a tough year because I did not favour setting up my own business. Overcoming my husband's courage and belief that I have yet to complete.
Translation Agency, which goes to the present day, was established in 1992 as the first such office in the south-eastern Poland. After a few years I brought in an accomplice and so it is today.

Suggestions and advice to give to women:
Lack of self-confidence, so often present in our characters, is not conducive to making tough decisions, and does not allow you to move forward. The first step is the hardest but after this, every next one is easier. We should listen and watch others endlessly, but not to imitate  because each of us has its own potential and depends only on the women how she will use it

Assets to be developed:
A woman must believe that if she has a goal in mind it is a wise and realistic plan. Women are perfect in their actions but often not very confident. Fortunately, gone are the days when men looked ironically at a woman leading a company . Aim for perfection but do not confuse it with the meticulousness plus faith in yourself and your own projects. Then it must go.
